At the helm of Bond Laser Technology Co., Ltd., Chairman, General Manager, and legal representative Kong Jie holds not only 66.94% of the company’s shares as the controlling shareholder, but also the vision and determination that have guided the company from its founding roots to global leadership in laser processing solutions.
Speaking at the 2025 Bond Laser Annual Meeting themed “Six Consecutive Years of Global Leadership, A New Century-Billion Journey”, Kong Jie delivered a keynote address titled “Why One Hundred Billion”. Against the backdrop of a sluggish global economy and intensifying industry competition in 2024, Kong emphasized that only by achieving RMB 10 billion in revenue within five years can Bond Laser ensure the resources, stability, and innovative power required to remain a global frontrunner. “One hundred billion is not our option—it is our only way forward,” he declared.
Under his leadership, Bond Laser has consistently broken through technical and market bottlenecks. In 2024, the company extended its R&D to the upstream of the industrial chain, achieving breakthroughs in core components such as the 12kW BOC, a 20kW beam combiner, and a 120kW laser head, while releasing its proprietary BodorThinker 5.0 operating system. The company launched 12 new products tailored to global market needs, further strengthened its laser welding machine portfolio, and established a customized non-standard product line. Despite geopolitical uncertainties and global trade frictions, Bond Laser maintained robust growth, shipping over 8,000 cutting systems worldwide—marking its fifth consecutive year as the world’s top seller.
Kong Jie has long stood for independence and innovation. Rejecting OEM and contract manufacturing for foreign brands, he insisted that all Bond Laser equipment carry the “Bodor” name and “Made in China” label. This strategy not only secured export leadership for multiple years but also enhanced the international reputation of Chinese advanced manufacturing. His conviction is clear: “Before we make Bond Laser the global number one in cutting technology, we will not diversify into second categories.”
Beyond business, Kong underscores social responsibility. In 2024, the company’s “Global Philanthropy Tour” reached Tibet, building eight “Dream Libraries” for over 1,800 children. Such initiatives reflect his belief that enterprise success must also serve as nourishment for society and culture.
Bond Laser’s growth has attracted strong capital backing. In late 2023, IDG Capital and Shunwei Capital jointly invested several hundred million RMB in the company, a move industry observers believe will further accelerate Bond Laser’s R&D and global expansion.
Kong Jie embodies Bond Laser’s ethos: “Dare to dream, dare to disrupt.” He has introduced a “team as a football squad” culture where only the strongest step onto the field, and once on the field, victory is the only outcome. His ambition extends far beyond market share—he seeks to position Bond Laser as the “No.1 brand in the global laser industry,” a standard-bearer of Chinese high-end equipment manufacturing on the world stage.
As the company’s employees pledged during the annual meeting, “On the hundred-billion journey, we will succeed together,” Kong Jie stands at the forefront—strategist, innovator, and dreamer—steering Bond Laser toward a new era of industrial excellence and national pride.
